ATRIO Health Plans was founded by local providers. These practitioners determined they could deliver a health plan more responsive to the needs of their Medicare patients and their practices than that imposed on them by commercial insurers. As such, we are a provider-sponsored health plan focused on what’s most important—supporting the doctor/patient relationship. That means keeping care coordination as close as possible to the medical provider and their patient. To help achieve this medical policy, and our medical management programs, are overseen by representatives of the very providers who see our members.
