Wendy Edwards

wendy edwards, presidentWendy Edwards serves as President of ATRIO Health Plans and is responsible for assuring Medicare Advantage and dual-eligible members have access to affordable, high-quality care delivered through local provider networks throughout the state of Oregon. Having worked to establish ATRIO as a Certified Benefit Company, she is dedicated to ATRIO’s staff, members and the communities where we serve. Wendy provides creative thinking, a deep sense of caring and a strong sense of community to organizational decisions.

Wendy joined ATRIO in 2014 with over 15 years of leadership experience within the health insurance industry and has held the positions of Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and the Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to ATRIO, Wendy served as the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Officer at Samaritan Health Plans where she worked to develop and ensure that all regulations, contracts, policies, and reporting programs remained current, compliant and communicated.

Wendy earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University and her Master of Science from Portland State University. She holds both a CHC and CHP-C designation from the Health Care Compliance Association. She is personally involved with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an active mother of three, and can often be found pool side cheering on her amazingly talented swimmers.

Julianne Matzell

Julianne Matzell is the Vice President of Information Technology for ATRIO Health Plans and is responsible for data and information management which includes the Business Intelligence, Information Technology, Risk Adjustment and Quality Teams. Julianne is committed to data integrity and has a passion for ensuring the organization has access to actionable and insightful data in order to provide the highest quality service to our members.

Julianne joined ATRIO in 2017 and brings over 15 years of experience implementing technology solutions that drive innovation and encourage businesses to make data-driven decisions. Prior to joining the company Julianne was the owner and principal of Mariposa Consulting, focusing on business process management solutions and Agile development practices, consulting domestically and internationally.

Julianne achieved a Master of Science degree from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Physics from Wells College. She shares her passion for the study and practice of Yoga through her volunteer teaching to kids, youth and adults in correctional facilities, drug treatment centers, and behavioral/mental health facilities.

Dana Franke

Dana Franke is the Vice President of Operations at ATRIO Health Plans and oversees the day to day operations and vendor relationships required to assure our Medicare Advantage and dual-eligible members have access to affordable, high-quality service. Dana provides end to end thinking, continuous process improvement and has a passion for making a difference for ATRIO, our members and the team’s she works with.

Dana joined ATRIO in 2016 with over 28 years of experience in operations and leadership within the health insurance industry. She has held the positions of Director of Quality Programs and Senior Director of Operations. Prior to ATRIO, Dana worked for Regence BCBSO, Health Net Inc., Cover Oregon, and Health Republic Insurance Company serving in various operational performance training roles.

Dana attended Chemeketa Community College where she obtained her Emergency Medical Technician license, is a mother of four, has two granddaughters and loves to golf on weekends with her husband and friends.

Charles Wilson

charles wilsonCharles Wilson JD, LLM serves as the Vice President, General Counsel of ATRIO Health Plans and has been with the company since 2011. Charles manages all legal affairs involving ATRIO, including strategic initiatives, board governance, compliance, regulatory issues, contracting, and corporate transactions. He provides counsel on a broad range of legal, business and operational matters to the company’s board of directors and the executive management team.

Charles received a bachelor’s degree in public policy from Duke University, his Juris Doctorate from Lewis & Clark, and an LL.M. in Taxation at the University of Washington. When he’s not ensuring that corporate affairs are in order, he enjoys his down time fly fishing, whitewater rafting, and skiing with his wife and daughter.

Jim Myers

Jim myersJim Myers is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, overseeing all sales and marketing activities. Jim is dedicated to ensuring that the delivery of ATRIO products and services have the best value for our customers and business partners.

Jim joined ATRIO in 2012 with more than 30 years of industry experience in health plan operations and sales leadership. Jim’s background includes leadership positions across the industry with commercial health plans, managed care organizations, insurance brokerage services and third-party administration.

Jim is a CPA and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the College of Great Falls and achieved his Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. Beyond Medicare coverage, Jim serves our valued senior community in other ways including support to in-home care services and delivering ministry to the homebound. Jim enjoys time with his wife and son, summiting Mount Hood and fishing Oregon waters.

Chris Norman

Chris Norman Chris Norman is the Vice President of Compliance at ATRIO Health Plans, and manages ATRIO’s Compliance Plan, oversees the Fraud, Waste and Abuse program and the auditing and monitoring of our internal operations and external vendors . Chris has a passion for education, employee engagement and business management tools that help ATRIO comply with federal rules, regulations and requirements for Medicare Advantage plans.

Chris joined ATRIO in January 2019 with 15 years of leadership experience in Health Plan Compliance, Operations, Policy and Programs. Prior to ATRIO, Chris was the Director of Contracts and Compliance, and Director of Integrated Health Programs for the Oregon Health Authority. Chris has also held management and leadership roles for Operations, Customer Service, Policy and Compliance for Medicare and Medicaid health plans.

Chris received a bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University and a Master’s in Business Administration from George Fox University. He also holds a CHC certification from the Health Care Compliance Association. When not at work, Chris can be found early mornings at the yoga studio, or spending time with his family and friends in the outdoors mountain biking, hiking, skiing, backpacking and kayaking throughout Oregon. Chris is also active serving his community, volunteering on local boards and school district budget committee.

Michelle Murphy

Michelle Murphy

Michelle Murphy is the Vice President of Finance at ATRIO Health Plans. She leads a team of finance professionals that are committed to providing timely and accurate financial reporting to ATRIO’s members, management, board of directors, and state regulators. Michelle is responsible for all statutory reporting to the Department of Consumer and Business Services and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.

Michelle joined ATRIO in 2015, and has over 25 years of experience in the accounting and finance profession working in the advertising and construction industries. She is a mother of 2 and enjoys spending time with her husband and kids exploring Oregon which they have called home since 2014.
