IMPORTANT: Medicare beneficiaries affected by the Oregon wildfires are eligible for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) through January 31, 2021 that gives them an extended opportunity to add, drop or change their Medicare health and prescription drug plan in the event they were eligible for another election period and were unable to make an election because of the wildfires. See details below.
You are eligible for this SEP if you:
- Reside in Douglas, Jackson, Josephine, Klamath or Marion Counties
- Had a valid enrollment period at the time of the incident period (such as the Fall AEP or other special opportunity); and
- Did not enroll or make a change during that other enrollment period.
*In addition, the SEP is available to those individuals who don’t live in the affected areas but rely on help making healthcare decisions from friends or family members who live in the affected areas.
