ATRIO Health Plans cares about the health and wellness of not only its members, but all those who live in Douglas, Klamath and Washington counties.  

As part of that commitment, ATRIO makes medical home visits to conduct comprehensive health assessments for those seniors with certain health conditions.  The health assessments are written detailed medical reports and are meant to supplement the care a primary care physician provides.  Seniors find these assessments beneficial and it helps ATRIO provide quality care and manage medical costs.

Helping the community stay healthy begins with personal responsibility.  Each year, ATRIO is involved in reminding people about the benefits of receiving vaccinations, as well as pneumonia and influenza shots to prevent illness.  ATRIO likes to stay in touch with members throughout the year sharing health tips on as needed.  

For example, ATRIO spends resources each year educating people about the number of serious, sometimes life-threatening complications that can result from diabetes. There are nearly 24 million people in the United States (7.8% of the population) who have diabetes. While an estimated 17.9 million have been diagnosed, 5.7 million people are unaware that they have the disease. 

And, whether it is a booth at the Klamath or Douglas county fair, or the Cancer Awareness Treatment Walk and Fun Run in Washington County, ATRIO is active in sponsoring events or programs in the community.  The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life events celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, and help us remember those loved ones who have lost their battle.
