Formulary Search

What is a Formulary?

A formulary is a list of drugs covered by a health plan. This Formulary contains the entire list of Part D drugs covered by ATRIO Health Plans. These drugs will generally be covered as long as the drug is medically necessary, the prescription is filled at a ATRIO Health Plans network pharmacy, and other plan rules are followed. For more information on how to fill your prescriptions, please review your Evidence of Coverage (Member Handbook).

What are Generic drugs?

ATRIO Health Plans covers both brand name drugs and generic drugs. Generic drugs have the same active-Ingredient formula as a brand name drug.  A generic drug is approved by the Generic drugs usually cost less than brand name drugs and are rated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to be as safe and effective as brand name drugs. Your cost share for generic drugs will be less than what you would pay for brand name drugs.

Can the Formulary change?

We may periodically add, remove, make changes to coverage limitations on certain drugs or change how much you pay for a drug. Generally, if you are taking a drug on our formulary that was covered at the beginning of the year, we will not discontinue or reduce coverage of the drug during the coverage year except when a new, less expensive generic drug becomes available or when new adverse information about the safety or effectiveness of a drug is released. For more information on how the formulary can change, please review your Evidence of Coverage (Member Handbook).
